This round side table in dark wood and glass adds a delicate country touch, blending warm materials with subtle transparency. A vintage, second-hand piece, it finds its place naturally in a living room or bedroom, at the end of a sofa or next to an armchair, to hold a lamp, a few books, or a cup kept within reach. Its combination of dark wood and glass gives it an understated look that is easy to pair with a classic, natural, or more eclectic interior. Topped with a bouquet of fresh flowers and a ceramic tray, it creates a refined and balanced vignette. Like any vintage piece, it bears the marks of its past: a few traces of time.

A brief history of the side table
Born in the 17th century under the name "guéridon," the side table owes its origin to the Moorish slaves (called guéridons) depicted on the carved legs of the first models brought back from Italy. This mobile piece of furniture revolutionized social life at court by breaking the rigidity of large buffets to create conversation nooks anywhere in the room. Its light and compact structure was designed to be moved as needed: to place a candlestick, a cup of tea, or a bedside book.
