With its understated presence and beige hue, this wooden side table fits naturally into a country-style or curated vintage interior. Its two drawers offer useful storage for glasses, mail, or everyday accessories, while their height allows small items to be tucked away with ease. In a living room, it pairs well with an armchair or sits at the end of a sofa; in a bedroom, it makes a beautiful bedside table for a lamp and a book. Its top easily accommodates a ceramic vase, a cup, or a bouquet of dried flowers. As a second-hand piece, it bears the memory of its past: there are several marks.

A brief history of the side table
Born in the 17th century under the name "guéridon," the side table owes its origin to the Moorish slaves (called guéridons) depicted on the carved legs of the first models brought back from Italy. This nomadic piece of furniture revolutionized social life at court by breaking the rigidity of large sideboards to create conversational islands anywhere in the room. Its light and compact structure was designed to be moved according to need: to hold a candlestick, a cup of tea, or a bedside book.
