With its dark wood and professional furniture silhouette, this vintage administrative cabinet adds a soulful country touch to an office or workshop. Designed for hanging files, it offers four drawers and clear organization, ideal for keeping papers, archives, or supplies close at hand. Its slender shape allows it to be installed in a workspace, an entryway, or even a bedroom, where it becomes as useful as it is decorative. The wood, kept in its original condition, pairs easily with an antique desk, a wooden chair, or an industrial lamp. Filled with binders and notebooks, it will naturally find its place in a flea-market style interior. A second-hand piece, it bears the marks of its history: the top has been restored.

A brief history of professional furniture
A work tool before becoming a decorative object, professional furniture emerged in the 19th century to meet the precision needs of apothecaries, printers, or seedsmen. Its structure, dictated by its use, is recognizable by its multitude of drawers and brass label holders that allowed for identifying stock without losing a second. Whether called a "map chest" or a "workshop chest," it now brings a raw industrial character and unparalleled storage capacity. This piece tells of an era when furniture was an extension of the artisan's hand, making every trace of wear a testament to its past history.
