This vintage double filing cabinet in dark wood brings a country touch to the office or entryway, with a sober and warm look. Its vertical height allows it to occupy little floor space while offering structured storage for papers, files, or mail. The wood complements an antique interior, a work chair, or a desk with character, and its trade-furniture aesthetic gives it a perfect presence. In a curated decor, it also finds its place paired with notebooks, a desk lamp, and a few writing implements placed on top.

A brief history of trade furniture
A work tool before becoming a decorative object, trade furniture emerged in the 19th century to meet the precision needs of apothecaries, printers, or seedsmen. Its structure, dictated by its use, is recognizable by its multitude of drawers and brass label holders that allowed for stock identification without losing a second. Whether called a "blueprint cabinet" or a "workshop chest," it now brings a raw industrial character and unparalleled storage capacity. This piece tells the story of an era when furniture was an extension of the artisan's hand, making every sign of wear a testament to its past.
