Adopt an armchair with a design inspired by Thomas Rietvel, whose wooden structure reveals sober and architectural elegance. The prototype, revisited by Francescoo Segura, combines a brown leather seat and backrest, offering enveloping comfort and a warm patina, perfect for a living room, office, or reading nook where comfort and style combine. Its balanced proportions provide a discreet and refined presence. Minor signs of wear present.

A Brief History of the Armchair
While chairs are for working or dining, the armchair was born in the 17th century with a single mission: relaxation. Its name derives from the Old French "faudesteuil," a dignitary's folding seat, but it gained independence under Louis XV to become this comfortable piece of furniture equipped with armrests. Unlike the chair, it favors a wider seat and an inclined backrest, inviting conversation rather than a rigid posture. Whether it's a "bergère" with full sides to protect from drafts or a lighter "bridge" armchair, it embodies the evolution of the art of living.
