Depth: 58 cm
Height: 20 cm

A brief history of the desk
It all began with the "bure," a thick, brown wool cloth that covered the tables of copyist monks to protect their precious manuscripts. By extension, the table itself eventually took the name of the fabric that covered it: the "bureau." Unlike the secretary desk, it is defined by its wide, fixed tabletop and exposed legs, offering a workspace for reflection without artifice. Also known as a "flat desk," it remains a centerpiece for grounding a workspace with character.
