Care of the kilim rug

To maintain your kilim rug, vacuum it every week, but not at maximum power, as this can damage the fibers. In the event of a stain, the excess must first be absorbed. Then use shampoo diluted in lukewarm water to remove the stain. If it resists, do not hesitate to use a few drops of white vinegar. Then let it air dry. To revive the colors of your carpet, sprinkle it with a little baking soda, let it sit and vacuum it up with the vacuum cleaner.

Little history of the kilim rug

Kilim are rugs embroidered from wool, cotton or goat hair, originating from different regions of the Near East or Central Asia. The appearances change depending on their origin. They are mainly composed of colorful geometric patterns. At the time, kilim rugs were used as blankets or fabrics to protect the floors of mosques and yurts.
