Its elegant silhouette and balanced proportions make it an ideal piece of furniture for moments of sharing over coffee... or sake. A slight snag on the left trim bears witness to its history, adding a touch of authenticity to this unique piece.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly appear until the beginning of the 20th century, with the evolution of living rooms toward more comfort and relaxation. Its structure, deliberately low to align with the seat of armchairs, was inspired by oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Known as a "salon table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous tabletop supported by a short, sturdy base.
