This oval ceramic and iron coffee table immediately catches the eye. It features a ceramic tile top depicting geometric and botanical patterns, and its base is made of black wrought iron with a twisted crossbar. A second-hand piece, it fits naturally into a living room, offering a unique and original presence without weighing down the space. Its surface is perfect for holding books, magazines, and other everyday objects at coffee time. On a simple rug, it pairs beautifully with a linen sofa and a tinted glass vase.

Length: 133 cm
Width: 52 cm
Height: 40 cm

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly emerge until the early 20th century, with the evolution of living rooms toward greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, deliberately low to align with the seat height of armchairs, is inspired by oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Referred to as a "living room table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous top supported by a short, sturdy base.
