This designer contemporary coffee table in orange-red lacquered wood draws attention with the combination of wood and glass. It features a glass top that can be placed on it, creating a lighter look and revealing the depth of the lacquered red. Used in a living room, it complements a sofa as an end table and readily holds an art book, a catchall tray, or a carefully placed cup. Its low-to-the-ground presence allows it to structure the space without weighing it down, while maintaining a very contemporary look. It is also well suited to a more graphic setting, with a glass lamp and a few magazines placed on its top.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table only truly appeared at the beginning of the 20th century with the evolution of living rooms towards greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, deliberately low to align with the seat of armchairs, is inspired by oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Called a "living room table" or "cocktail table", it is defined by its generous top supported by a short and sturdy base.
