This dark wood coffee table exudes a sober presence, defined by solid raw wood and entirely pegged construction. Its oval top softens the room, while the screwless assembly highlights meticulous craftsmanship, perfect for a contemporary, curated, and refined living room. It naturally complements a low sofa, serving as a spot for art books, a serving tray, or a table lamp. Placed on a textured rug, it creates a warm vignette alongside a few magazines and a ceramic vase.

Length: 94 cm
Width: 54 cm
Height: 50 cm

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly emerge until the beginning of the 20th century, as living rooms evolved toward greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, intentionally low to align with the seat of armchairs, draws inspiration from Oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Referred to as a "living room table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous top supported by a short, sturdy base.
