With its 1980s spirit, this light wood and fabric coffee table brings a contemporary touch while remaining easy to integrate into a living room. Its white mesh undershelf, in very good condition, gives it a unique and airy signature, while the storage space under the top accommodates magazines, remote controls, or a folded throw. Its proportions allow it to be placed in front of a sofa without weighing down the room, with a comfortable height for serving daily aperitifs. Carefully sourced, it pairs just as well with a graphic rug as it does with a lamp placed on top and a few beautiful open books.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly appear until the early 20th century with the evolution of living rooms toward more comfort and relaxation. Its structure, intentionally low to align with armchair seating, draws inspiration from oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Called a "salon table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous top supported by a short, sturdy base.
