This light wood and cane folding chair adds a light, rustic touch. Its cane seat complements the wooden frame, creating a simple presence in a dining room, bedroom, or study area. Foldable, it is easy to move and can be stored away when more space is needed, without losing its elegance when unfolded. Its light wood and openwork backrest give it a soft look that is easy to pair with an antique table, natural linens, or a few books placed nearby. With its subtle color, it will be perfect unfolded by a window, accompanied by a folded throw and a ceramic vase. Sold as a pair, 1 set available.

A brief history of the chair
In the Middle Ages, sitting on a chair with a backrest was a rare privilege reserved for the person leading the assembly: the "president" (from the Latin praesidere, to sit in front). Long considered a symbol of prestige compared to the benches and stools used by ordinary people, the chair only became widely available in the 18th century, when it became an everyday object. It differs from an armchair by the absence of armrests, with a design that allows complete freedom of movement around a table or desk. The result of a constant search for both lightness and strength, it has evolved from carved solid wood to more modern lines, making every seat a testament to the history of comfort.
