Delicate and graphic, this antique nesting table combines silver-plated metal and glass in a contemporary spirit, featuring a period-style silvered mirror that catches the light. Its twisted legs provide a refined silhouette, while its nesting format allows for versatile use according to the needs of the living room. Compact, it easily finds its place near a sofa or in a tidy entryway to hold a book, a lamp, or a few selected objects. The speckled glass, typical of this material and rare today, also lends itself to a stylish display with a brass lamp and a smoked glass vase. Sourced and authentic, it bears the marks of its history. The slender legs become stable once items are placed on top.

A brief history of nesting tables
Invented at the end of the 18th century by English cabinetmaker Thomas Sheraton, nesting tables are a set of tables of decreasing sizes that fit under one another. Valued during the Art Deco period for their geometry and later reinvented in the 50s and 60s with organic lines, they embody modular furniture par excellence. They are so named by analogy to Russian dolls, offering an ingenious space-saving solution for small areas. Versatile, they serve in turn as coffee tables, bedside tables, or side supports depending on your needs at the moment.
