A brief history of the bench
Did you know that the word "banquet" comes directly from "banc" (bench)? Since the Middle Ages, this piece of furniture has been a symbol of conviviality, bringing guests together around grand seigneurial tables. Whether in a chic country or industrial style, it stands out for its communal seating and robust nature. Sometimes called a "farm bench" or "settle," it fits into a rustic or vintage aesthetic depending on its patina. Today, it is a welcome addition to an entryway or around a modern table, offering generous seating and a touch of character.
