This light wood bench, sourced for its country-house aesthetic, draws on the codes of traditional Breton back benches. Its backrest, featuring a row of carved arched cutouts, gives it a refined presence while maintaining a simple and authentic feel. Its generous length allows it to seat several guests around a dining table, while its height makes it well-suited for everyday use. The wood provides a warm material, easy to pair with antique linens, stoneware dishes, or a rustic table. Placed against a wall, it can be adorned with linen cushions, a folded throw, and a few books at the end.

A little history of the bench
Did you know that the word "banquet" comes directly from the word "bench"? Since the Middle Ages, this piece of furniture for conviviality brought guests together around large seigneurial tables. Whether in a chic country or industrial style, it is distinguished by its collective seating and robust nature. Sometimes called a "farm bench" or "settee," it fits into a rustic or vintage aesthetic depending on its patina. Today, it is welcomed into an entryway or around a modern table to offer generous seating and a touch of soul.
