A brief history of the bar cart
The bar cart, also known as a serving table, originated in the 17th century. At the time, it was used to serve and clear dishes and tableware during meals. Equipped with wheels, it could be moved effortlessly from one place to another, making it quicker to clear the table by reducing the number of trips between the dining room and the kitchen. Its great utility made the bar cart an important piece of furniture, also used for serving tea or breakfast. This small mobile side table has, over the centuries, found a prominent place in our homes.
