This set of six red and yellow metal chairs brings a contemporary, graphic touch to the dining table. Originating from past school use, they charm with their bold look and contrasting colors, which instantly enliven a dining room or office corner. Their seats offer comfortable support for daily meals, while their backrests provide comfort during long gatherings. The set fits easily around a wooden tabletop, a metal table, or a desk with a minimalist design. Arranged in pairs or in a row, they create a vibrant and structured scene. As second-hand pieces, they retain the memory of their past life: showing some signs of wear.

A brief history of the chair
In the Middle Ages, sitting on a chair with a backrest was a rare privilege, reserved for the person leading the assembly: the "president" (from the Latin praesidere, to sit before). Long a symbol of prestige compared to the benches and stools of the common people, the chair only became democratized in the 18th century to become an everyday object. It is distinguished from the armchair by the absence of armrests, a structure designed to offer total freedom of movement around a table or desk. The result of a constant quest between lightness and solidity, it has evolved from carved solid wood to more modern lines, making each seat a witness to the history of comfort.
