This trio of solid beech folding chairs, in a light wood finish, captivates with its geometric profile and contemporary look. Sourced second-hand, these Aldo Jacober chairs offer a graphic presence while remaining understated, with a comfortable seat and a backrest that create a clean line. Their folding mechanism allows them to be opened for a meal and then easily stored when not in use. They pair equally well with a wooden table or a more minimalist interior, in a dining room or kitchen area. For an impromptu lunch, they unfold to welcome guests before tucking away against a wall.

A brief history of the chair
In the Middle Ages, sitting on a chair with a backrest was a rare privilege, reserved for the person leading the assembly: the "president" (from the Latin praesidere, to sit in front). Long a symbol of prestige compared to the benches and stools of the common people, the chair only became widespread in the 18th century, becoming an everyday object. It is distinguished from the armchair by the absence of armrests, with a structure designed to offer complete freedom of movement around a table or desk. The result of a constant quest for lightness and strength, it has evolved from carved solid wood to more modern lines, making every seat a witness to the history of comfort.
