This light wicker pedestal table adds a gentle country touch, with a woven material that dresses up the room without weighing it down. Its height allows it to hold a lamp, a vase, or a few books in a living room, while its round top easily finds its place next to an armchair. As a second-hand item, this thrifted piece also works well in an entryway, where it can hold a trinket tray and a bouquet of dried flowers. Being a second-hand object, it bears the marks of its past: a few traces of time.

Height: 58 cm
Diameter: 41 cm

A brief history of the pedestal table
Appearing in the 17th century, the "guéridon" takes its name from a ballet character, "Guéridon," who held a torch. Initially designed as a support for lighting (candlesticks, lamps), this small occasional table is distinguished by its circular top resting on a single central base. Whether Empire style in solid mahogany or Seventies style in rattan, it adapts to all interiors as a side table or display table. Today, it remains a centerpiece for structuring a reading corner with elegance and lightness.
