This wood and marbled table charms with its pairing of dark wood and grey marble, creating an elegant country feel. Its round top is perfect for a lamp, a few art books or a vase, while the wood adds warmth and the stone a more refined finish. Placed in a living room or an entryway, it fits naturally beside a sofa, in a corner or in front of a window, where it provides a discreet, polished display surface. Its combination of wood and marble allows it to complement both classic interiors and more contemporary decor. A brief history of the guéridon
Emerging in the 17th century, the guéridon takes its name from a ballet character, “Guéridon”, who carried a torch. Originally designed as a stand for lighting (candlesticks, lamps), this small occasional table is distinguished by its round top resting on a single central support. Whether in solid mahogany Empire style or Seventies rattan, it suits any interior as a sofa-side table or display table. Today, it remains the perfect piece for elegantly and lightly defining a reading nook.
