A Brief History of the Guéridon
Appearing in the 17th century, the guéridon takes its name from a ballet character, "Guéridon," who held a torch. Initially designed as a support for lighting (candlesticks, lamps), this small occasional table is distinguished by its circular top resting on a single central pedestal. Whether in solid mahogany Empire style or 70s rattan, it adapts to all interiors as an end table or display table. Today, it remains the centerpiece for structuring a reading corner with elegance and lightness.
